Thanks, that's very helpful in understand your views.
It's also useful to me to observe that your more English than American in your writing
(I'm partly joking): I prefer Merriam-Webster (online) for American English.
Unfortunately, I do not have access to the full, MERRIAM - WEBSTER, THIRD INTERNATIONAL.
So here is the American English usage of the word, which may show why I needed clarification from you:

Definition of ideology [Merriam-Webster online, quote:]

1a : a manner or the content of thinking characteristic of an individual, group, or culture
b : the integrated assertions, theories and aims that constitute a sociopolitical program
c : a systematic body of concepts especially about human life or culture
2 : visionary theorizing
