I knew Soraia in late 1990's

in response to reader comment: friend of Tina's sister, Soraia

Cindi,

I met Soraia when her son was my student at Bright Horizons Dayton Islamic School. I spoke with her every day. She was kind, gregarious, a bit brash. I liked her. She encouraged me to learn some Arabic phrases and join in community pot luck dinners. We even kept in touch via letters after she moved back to Palestine in 1999.

Later that fall in '99 I found the book, "Guarding the Secrets", on my public library shelf. I was dumbfounded. Obviously, Harris' portrayal of Soraia paints a picture of her culpability. I truly wonder.
