Another type of "blow for freedom"

Reader comment on item: Debating Campus Watch

Submitted by Jean Martin (United States), Sep 29, 2002 at 12:34

What your origination of the Campus Watch website is doing is to give the "rest of us"- - the non-academics- - the means to read and understand how our young people are being indoctrinated with false history and information. That's another type of "blow for freedom" -- not only freedom of speech, but freedom from falsehood and distortion and freedom of information.

The primary problem with our entire education system is that it has been, for about three decades, dominated by leftists, who buy into ideology that accords "hero" status to those whom they describe as "victims" and "the oppressed". What they lack most is historical context and unbiased examination of the truth-claims of both sides to any conflict. Therefore the website also promotes truth, as well as freedom.
