Islamic Doctrine and the Palestinians

Reader comment on item: Why Palestinian Delusions Persist

Submitted by Carl Goldberg (United States), Nov 13, 2017 at 11:07

You rightly mention the Islamic doctrine of waqf whereby any land that was once conquered by Moslems must remain Moslem forever. But, what about the more fundamental Islamic doctrines whereby Allah commands Moslems to make war against the Jews and subjugate them to Islam (Koran 9:29)? What about Muhammad's sacred command to fight the Jews and kill them, just like the Hamas Charter says? Any Moslem who made peace with Israel would have to flagrantly violate the sacred commands of their god and their prophet. Don't those Islamic doctrines count???

Daniel Pipes replies:

1. Koran 9:29 is not specifically about Jews.

2. If you start looking closely at the Koran, it has distinct Zionist elements.
