Reader comment on item: Pretending Tel Aviv Is the Capital of Israel

Submitted by Barry Black (United States), Jan 15, 2017 at 13:56

I'm sure Trump and his inner circle would like to move the capital of Israel to Jerusalem, but pragmatism says don't go looking for trouble---the entire Islamic world would be stirred to a frenzy and the Palestinians as well as regional Arab states would go batshit crazy. Also, I believe the saner Israeli politicians would prefer to have the capital remain Tel Aviv until negotiations figure out how Jerusalem can be shared----shouldn't be too difficult----Trump could be a wall!
