Jerusalem? Tel Aviv?

Reader comment on item: Pretending Tel Aviv, Not Jerusalem, Is the Capital of Israel

Submitted by A.T. Halmay (Canada), Feb 4, 2014 at 00:39

There are three reasons for this situation.

1. Lack of knowledge …

2. An anti-Israel, anti-Zionist attitude (anti-Semitism in plain language)

3. Voiced by a congenital schmuck, as in the case of Carney.

This reader visited Israel for the first time in 2007 and sensed a competition by the various heads of churches each trying to get closer to God than all their competitors - as a matter of fact, a month later there was a bit of a free for all between priests of different churches having at each other with broom sticks. This led to a futuristic dream, envisioning Jerusalem in a future world when global peace was achieved after all people became enlightened (atheist) and Jerusalem became a city state but treated as a museum to which young people traveled to shake their heads over the follies of their ancestors who fought over their faiths (the lowest form of thinking)
