I agree about the paperwork but not on who can save us ...

Reader comment on item: MEF's Surprising Straw Poll on Trump
in response to reader comment: Donald Trump, and The Tower of Paperwork

All of this paperwork is something that has upset me as well. I can no longer be bothered to read all of those "terms and conditions" and "privacy policy" and such like items. It's simply become all too much!

However, I don't see Obama or any side of politics as being "to blame" for this. It's a general cultural phenomenon, a result of the ease of writing and then printing so many words. It's also a product of a culture of litigation which is not down to any side of politics or ideology.

I can see why you see Trump as a "saviour" in this. He cuts across the euphemistic crap. (Oh dear, will the moderator balk at allowing that word?) He uses short slogans and clipped messages to get across to his audience. These are the "sound bites" of this confused age of information overload.

Trump knows how to play this game but is this really a game we want to keep on playing?

I certainly do not want to.

[I am aware of the irony of how much my conclusion sounds like a "sound bite". However, I see a place for brief summary conclusions like this *after*, not *instead of*, a reasoned argument.]
