These comparisons and generalizations to the Fascist Movement are entirely misleading.
The National Socialists actually fought hard to the bitter end and there was hardly any "lack of enthusiasm" for the movement as Hollywood or our own court historians might have us believe.
There was an apprehension as the war turned sour for them, but it never turned into defeatism until the very end and recall the divisions didn't stand down until ordered to.
Italy was less than enthused to begin with while Spain stayed out of the other than the Blue Division and was solidly behind Franco throughout the entire Cold War.THe Utasha was another that fought to the end.
The formula might apply to the Soviet Union but trying to superimpose it upon IS as though it were another Western movement has got to be the biggest mistake the Western World presently makes.
Besides, what enemies does IS really have?
We lost the war in the ME. Didn't we?
Who's got the fabled "plan".
Who's the leader? Where's Mr. Churchill?
Surely, we can expect our European Allies to form as they did in WW2?
Well, France, Maybe!
A "Casablanca" re-run, maybe?
AhhHaAAAaaaa!
Yeah, l let's sing the Marseillaise at Is. That worked great!
No, I think Morocco is no longer a French colony and maybe we're not in Kansas, anymore, Toto!
IS is more propaganda than anything else and they're beating us with it simply because their leaders are a lot smarter than ours.
Imagine Hitler getting as far as IS before he rearmed Germany?
That's actually as far as the comparison goes.
