How Will They Do That?

Reader comment on item: The Worrisome Future of Special Operation Forces

Submitted by Mark D (United States), Mar 27, 2014 at 21:36

Special Operations Forces used to be about capturing or killing America's adversaries; its new mission is to shape public opinion.

The fading away of reason, SOF takes a radical turn. How are the Special Operations Forces supposed to accomplish that? What are the things they should do? Control the press? Execute and imprison any opposition to it's opinion? Would you say, Dr. Pipes, that this has all the makings of the thinking of the White House? Who started it? Who ordered it?
