Reader comment on item: The Worrisome Future of Special Operation Forces

Submitted by Gary Misch (United States), Mar 23, 2014 at 22:01

Special Operations Forces have become the magic swiss army knife of two consecutive administrations. They are taking on the imprint of each. If Rumsfeld could have had a SPECOPS only military, he would have. The Obama administration has a notoriously short attention span for anything, but they finally got around to putting their mark on things. It sounds like they want to remake all of SPECOPS in the image of the Green Berets, with Samantha Power as the Eminence Grise.
