Reader comment on item: Non-Muslims Who Fast for Ramadan
in response to reader comment: When tolerance is difficult to swallow

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Dec 10, 2013 at 21:32

Welcome back Amin Ryaz. Always ready for an open dialog! No, I am not objecting to tolerance in the West. I am only objecting to selective-silence in the west. Those non-Muslims who fast on Ramadan are the best of the human breed but they are not courageous enough. They should criticize the Islamic states for not offering similar openness in their societies and --more importantly-- in the minds of their people. How many examples I need to give you to prove that Islamic societies are less open than the west and non-Islamic east?
