PADILLA: What makes you so terrified of seeing or showing skin? To my knowledge, we are born without clothes. In Québec, many muslims try to infiltrate public swimming areas fully clothed. Many have been kicked out for one reason: hygiene.

There's no assurance the burkini is clean before entering the pool. There's no assurance the body is clean either. That's why they ask we take a shower before entering the pool. A shower is useless when the full head to ankle costume hasn't been washed and the germs and bacteria of a not-so-clean body just cling inside the burkini only to be released in the water.

These are garments that cling to every nude part of the body... you know what I mean.

It is shameful that you teach your children that an exposed female arm or leg is dirty while you walk around in shorts and short-sleeved shirt.
