Tariq -- Please read Psalm 90:10 in The Bible, which pre-dates the Q'uran by at least 700 years.

KJV-- "The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away."

The significance is that in Jewish Israel of the time of King Solomon and then David, a normal life expectancy was 70-80 years -- still longer than in the average Muslim country today, and much longer than the 40 years you mention. Why is that? Did God favor the Israelites over the Arabs, giving them a longer lifespan? Or was it the violent proclivities fo the Arabs that caused their life expectancies to be so much shorter? Just wondering.

And look to Baby Jesus -- His mother, even in virgin birth, was well into her teens by all accounts. And she had not yet had carnal relations with any man -- In contrast, Baby Ayesha had carnal relations at the age of 9! Most Jewish kids aren't even considered adults until their bar or bat mitzavh -- which happens soon after ther 13th birthday -- and even then, we (and you) all know that a person of 13 y.o. isn't capable of amking adult decisions.

How would you like it if your 14 y.o. daughter decided that it was time fro her to get married and have sex with an already married man? Try downshifting taht equation to 9 y.o.!
