Why Indeed - Have You Not Opened Your Heart to Understand Jesus

John 14:19) 'Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.'

This is Yeshua, Jesus of Nazareth speaking in the upper room during the Pesach (Passover, which was just celebrated once again), telling his disciples of the things about to happen, of things they will need to remember when His hour is accomplished; and of things in the future which will sustain them; and all of us in these times where we see His WORD come alive in the fulfillment of His promises to those who do believe.

'Yet a little while;' He speaks of the fact that within a few hours, He'll be nailed to the cross, perform His last acts in His mortal frame, then give up His life for the blood payment redemption of humanity. The world will see Him no more in that frame of humanity.

'And the world seeth me no more;' because an unbelieving world (men and women not being disciples and not having the Spirit of truth because of that unbelief) cannot see Yeshua, for He is no longer mere mortal, and will not return as mere mortal; but when He does return, He is the LORD, Almighty God (Isaiah 9:6).

'But ye (you) see me:' by the power of His Comforter (John 14:16), we do see Him act in our lives as believers in the way the world cannot see.

And the ultimate triumph; 'because I (Yeshua) live, ye (you-if you are the believing disciple He is referring to) shall live also.' Of all Christian truth, this is the hope that transforms mere humanity lost in sins to a community of believers that await the fulfillment of His promises, of life with Him in eternity by the power of His love.

It does not, it cannot, get any better than that. Unless and until anyone gets that message and respond properly to it, of life through Jesus Christ as LORD as promised in the Holy Bible, people will stumble and misrepresent what the Holy Bible says to fit their own damaged view of life. Turn to the love Jesus Christ promises and ask Him into your heart while the chance still remains open.
