Leftists support the perceived 'Underdog' Magic Trick

Reader comment on item: Dennis Kucinich, Lefty for Radical Islam

In their perpetually ideologically directed stances, the leftists feel it is appropriate to support the underdog, the downtrodden minorities and to protect them against the aggressors, the oppressors and the bullies. This is a wonderful theoretical sentiment, the problem is that they are mistakenly labeling the two. Muslims number over 1.4 Billion and hold significant populations in most western countries, while there are less than 15 Million Jews worldwide and less than 6 Million in Israel. The other point that tends to be overlooked by these ideologues is that Muslims are by far more oppressed, aggressed and bullied (not to mention murdered and maimed) in their own Muslim countries than they are in Israel.

It is a fascinating phenomenon is it not? Kind of a "trompe l'oeil", an optical illusion.
