The US bought peace of Egypt with Israel in 1979, they pay to the Egyptian army 2 billions dollars each year... The points is that the arabs believe that they nust receive addirional "dividends" for maintaining the peace...They don't realize that peace per se is the greatest of dividends, because it hinders the deviation to military purposes favoring civil investments...

Even being a dictator Mubarak favored and supported the peace with Israel, that's why he was hated by his people that is weekly intoxicated in the mosques with hate toward Israel and the West
