Muslim Paranoia - Why Egypts will not advance to democracy anytime soon

Reader comment on item: Why Egypt Will Not Soon Become Democratic

Submitted by David MacKAY (Canada), Feb 5, 2011 at 02:01

Egyptian Sam Tandros points out that Islamic Parania is the greatest block to resolution or advancement indiscourse in the middle east including Egypt. He blogs at http://liberalwall.blogspot.com/

In 2008 he wrote "Daniel Pipes has written an excellent book on Conspiracy Theories in the Arab world, but I think his book is too old by now. With the new technology advancement the Conspiracy Mind has found new unexplored rooms and venues. A Second part of his book is badly needed to cover the new conspiracy theories". Tandros may be rright and the parnoia aspect is certainly a factor in why the curent state of affairs wil not see Egypt progress to freedom and democracy.
