Requirements for democracy in Egypt

Your list of pre-requisites for democracy to flourish in a society is right on the money. However Egypt is a Muslim society. The majority there are adherents of Islam and Islam is by character anti-democratic and anti-humanitarian. Democracy in Egypt as in any Islamic society is like hashish a pipe dream

So what compels Obama to be hysterical and push our loyal friend Mubarak over the proverbial cliff? Israel is particularly angry about this
