Why does Netanyahu have to fight alone?

Reader comment on item: Netanyahu's Quiet Success

Submitted by Susan Browne (United States), Oct 7, 2009 at 09:11

My American Jewish friends shock and confuse me. They are consistent in their agreement with the radical Left international position espoused by Obama! Though I can't speak for all fundamental, charismatic Israel-loving Christians, I for one am confounded! If the American Jewish community will not stand up for Israel, and put us down as radical Christian "crackpots" whose support they do not solicit or need, "Thank you very much!" How are we supposed to garner enough traction to throw our weight behind Netanyahu and his entirely righteous position in regard to Israel and its' safety?

As Rabbi Hillel said, "If I am only for myself - what am I? If I am not for myself? Who will be? If not now, when?

Now we face Iran and Ahmadinijad - the same spirit as the Palestinians but replacing rocks and mortars with atomic weapons. As a more prophetic member of the Christian community, I believe that Ahmadinijah with the help of Russian technologies will use it on Israel as soon as they get it. I don't believe Obama will help. For the first time in 60 years, Israel will not have the United States to help them!

We Christians still have the numbers to sway the opinions of government - but we need a solid voice of our Jewish brothers to lead the way!

I, for one will continue to shout it from the wall - in spite of the virulent opposition of my dear liberal Jewish friends. I will not have any guilt about the holocoast of the 21st century.

Is this what happened in Germany with Hitler? The Jewish people would not see the handwriting on the wall?

I pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. May the United States be resurrected into its' responsibility to protect and preserve Israel.
