Its a pity that any person living in the West, Hindu or otherwise, doesn't realize that you cannot force feed your personal views on others. What you are stating above are all your personal opinions. All of it. Any person can either agree or disagree with these opinions. Whereas it may be true that women in Eastern cultures may be pressurized to dress or act a certain way (our own Hindu culture being no exception, where women were forced to sit on the funeral pyre of their husbands till the British outlawed it) it certainly isnt true in America. Over here we are not selective in our attitudes.

A few years ago, in Turkey, a woman elected to Parliament was not allowed to take her oath of office because she refused to remove her scarf. In America a person, if elected to Congress, can go to Capitol Hill wearing a Hijab, Yarmulke or Sikh Turban. There is enough room for all of us.
