Reader comment on item: Obama and Netanyahu Meet: What's Next?

Submitted by Janusz Kowalik (United States), May 17, 2009 at 15:29

Dr.Pipes's question; Will Palestinians be able to establish a viable , functioning state is the key issue in the whole Palestinian problem. From what we have lseen so far Palestinian governments tend to be led by corrupted and incompetent leaders. The only political glue that holds Palestinians together is the unrealistic dream of derstroying Israel. Hence a peaceful, and prosperous Palestinian state is a very hard dream. Perhaps the best action would be establishing over time Palestinian institutions that could emerge as stable political bodies in the future Palestinian state.
