Bush's Fantastical Policy Making Re The Middle East -Dangerously Clueless

Reader comment on item: Is the Middle East "Freer, More Hopeful, and More Promising"?

I knew President Bush lost his way when he inexplicably announced in 2002 that creating a PA State was going to be a central plank of his middle east policy strategy. In other words, after the most horrific attack on the US since Pearl Harbor, his answer to Islamic terrorism was to create another terror state. What normal leader does such a thing?
By the way, I was especially disappointed because I voted for him.
