Reader comment on item: Muslims "Lagging Behind"
in response to reader comment: British Muslims

Iftikhar Ahmad says:

The Muslim community is suffering because of social and cultural problems of high rate of divorce, run away young girls, low academic achievements, drug addiction, drinking, teenage pregnancies, disrespect for their parents and elders, forced marriages and honour killings. It is all because our youth are cut off from their cultural roots and languages. I blame state schools because they have never been serious in the teaching of Urdu, Arabic and other community languages.

Can you believe this? Typical of Muslims, it's the host nation which must shoulder the blame, because it had the audacity not to order state schools to teach "Urdu, Arabic and other community languages."

"Sorry about killing my daughter, but she wanted to marry a Brit. She'd been promised to a 50-year-old friend since she was six. I wouldn't have had to kill her if her school had taught her Urdu." What utter BS!

How long do you think British people will put up with this garbage, Ifti?

Did you do your homework, Ifti, before you entered Britain? If you had, you would have known that honour killings are not allowed in the UK. Honour killings, Ifti, seem to be the work of people from your part of the world, which clearly indicates their (and your) level of thinking.

When you enter Britain, or any other country for that matter, you have to obey the laws of that country and accept whatever customs are in place. Am I getting through to you, Ifti? I can't think of a more simplified way of putting it. If you like Sharia Law, go back to those countries which practice it, though I can't for the life of me think that anyone in his right mind would want to do that, unless of course you are Muslim, which explains everything.

Ifti, the problem with Muslims is Islam. As you must be an expert on that subject, please clue me in on the following:

Do you Muslims honestly believe all the BS found in the Koran? Do you ever discuss the Koran with kindred Muslims? Do you ever question any of the verses found in that book? Why do you have to faithfully follow every single word in an evil book written 1,300 years ago? Is it because you are not fully developed mentally to think for yourself?

Isn't it strange how some humans deliberately and willingly shackle themselves to age-old myths, legends and superstitions? Place them unfairly in a prison and they will demand to be freed, yet they childishly allow themselves to be bound by manmade, outlandish rules and regulations, which not only impede progress and advancement in our world, but also hold back the mental capabilities of the so-called "faithful."

I used to be Christian, Ifti, but with the spread of information that has occurred over the last 20 years, I very diligently studied and researched Christianity, which led me to other religions, such as Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism, among several others. Later, I had the courage and savvy to make a momentous decision to separate myself from Christianity. Not only that, but I reached the obvious conclusion that ALL RELIGIONS are pure BS, created to control others.

I was indoctrinated with religion from my youth, so it was not an easy task to set it aside, and I'm sure that you, too, especially being a Muslim, would find it even more difficult to sever ties with Islam, nevertheless, Ifti, for your own sake, you have to study not just the Koran alone, but its history, who wrote it, and how it came about.

The man who founded Islam was a bandit, a thief, a murderer, a kidnapper, a rapist and a child molester, who led a gang of robbers. It is said that he couldn't read or write, so others wrote down his thoughts, which became the Koran. Some events were embellished and later placed in a book of traditions -- the Haddiths. Occasionally, he was questioned, and if anyone disagreed with his contention (supposedly the word of allah), he would simply retire to his cave and lo and behold come out a few minutes later with "a new revelation from allah," which always backed up his contention. With Mohammed, you just couldn't win!

"Hey, Mohammed bossman, why are you allowed so many wives (he had around 12 or 13, plus sex slaves and human spoils from his raids on isolated settlements) while we are allowed just four?"

"Let me check, guys."

(Enters his cave; emerges several minutes later.)

"I checked with the big guy upstairs and he says that he should get 20% of the loot, which he would share with his Messenger, that's me, in case you didn't know, so I'm allowed more. I was right; you guys get four each."

The very idea of Islam being considered a religion is an affront to anyone's intelligence. If you honor it, Ifti, there is something very seriously wrong with you!

.All religions are simply cults, Ifti, with the exception of Islam. Islam is in a class all it's own -- !

Why have I linked languages with your religion? Because the two cannot be separated! Islam is your way of life. Your whole life consists of one thing -- Islam. Life to you is Islam; education is Islam; marriage is Islam; business is Islam. You cannot do a single thing in your life without referring to Islam. You are like the donkeys you employ to grind your grain, tethered to a large wheel and walking around the grindstone in endless circles. One thing is constant throughout their life -- work! Yours is no different -- Islam!

No, Ifti, you and your ilk are to blame. If you want children to be taught Urdu, why bring them to the UK? If I want my kids to learn French, would I take them to China? If I want them to learn how to ski, would I take them to Egypt? If I want them to see the Pyramids, would I take them to the South Pole? If you are so obsessed about them being taught Urdu, get them private tutors!

Obviously, you are not happy in the UK, so my advice to you is GET OUT NOW, the sooner the better! You are typical of whining Muslims, who refuse to accept responsibility for their own actions. You made the decision to come to the UK; no one forced you to come... DO NOT try to enforce your Islamic... laws and crazy medieval ideas on others!

... Your complaint about the absence of Urdu on school curriculums more than adequately illustrates your mindset. You and Islam have nothing to teach the West, other than utter chaos!
