The Koran is not "Like the Bible". The Koran was the result of one ...that used terror to subjugate the polytheists of Arabia. Mohammed created the political entity of "Islam" which he expanded by force. The teachings have been based on the forced conversion and allows for no moderation or reformation ...

The fact that so many people are subjugated is a testament to the fragility of the human psyche. So easily contolled by obscure authority and identification with the group, ie tribe or clan. Traumatized humans can be easily manipulated. All cults rely on this fact. Most cults require a change of name, alienation from friends and family, absolute loyality to the group, ritualized behavior, i.e. demonstrations of submission 5 times a day, and threat of death for rejection of the group. So powerful is the cult that only those with extraordinary determination can escape with out help. Can a billion people all be cultists? I doubt it. many ,if not most , are held by threats and force. After all, not all the people behind the Iron Curtain were actually communists. However had Marxism continued for 1400 years, who knows.
