Naming and identifying the enemy

Reader comment on item: Not Calling Islamism the Enemy

Submitted by Chrisrina (United States), May 6, 2006 at 18:37

Our "leader" in the White House has recently begun to announce that 9/11 marked the beginning of World War Three, but, as usual, he does not name the enemy. There would seem to be a stirring among the sleeping classes that the enemy is ISLAM. Perhaps we shall gradually find comfort in noting the trickle-down or up or sideways in the collective consciousness that the enemy is not an abstraction but has a very recognizable human face - like the creatures who call themselves the Islamic Thinkers Society - with a clearly expressed agenda to a/ convert, or b/ enslave or c/ kill each and every infidel like me and many millions of others. We do not need a Paul Revere to sound the alarm; there is a desperate need, though, for each of us to pass the word along that the Muslims are up to no good where non-Muslims are concerned. For instance, has anybody noticed that many food stores - groceries, supermarkets, delicatessens, bakeries are falling to Muslim owners? Is this the pattern of a new form of jihad? Control the food - as we know is happening in some African societies - and your prey succumbs all the easier. .
