Why can't we do a criminal investigation

Reader comment on item: Hungary: Not "Submitting to Islam"
in response to reader comment: Calling out Ilhan Omar's hypocrisy

Dear Dr Pipes,

Regarding the allegation against Ilhan Omar that she married her own brother and did immigration fraud, why can't the US do a criminal investigation? It should be easy to prove if she indeed created a sham marriage with a person who was her own husband. More importantly, if she did no such crime, she should be honorably freed from this charge. In fact, Ms Omar should herself produce DNA evidence that this is a false allegation. Or her ex-husband should take the lead and try to do so.
