Christian Foundations?

Reader comment on item: Hungary: Not "Submitting to Islam"

Submitted by Judi (Australia), Aug 14, 2018 at 11:23

Orban certainly sees many chess moves ahead. Though currently he and his party on the surface seem friendly to Jews, I'd feel much more secure if he acknowledged 'Judeo-Christian foundations' rather than merely 'Christian foundations' to the Hungarian way of life.

By erasing the 'Judeo' influence he is rewriting history very subtly to generations of youth whose parents and grandparents are likely to be very happy with this rewrite as many willingly assisted in the genocide of their Jewish neighbours.

Daniel Pipes replies:

Agreed, that that would be nice. But, in the age of Corbyn, is this really a major concern?
