A pox on both ideasReader comment on item: Radical Islam as Its Own Antidote[, Argues Reuel Gerecht] Submitted by ron thompson (United States), Jun 27, 2005 at 20:57 I have to smile.A pox on BOTH ideas - both Radical islam "as its own antidote" and 'Moderate' islam (whatever that is) are defeatist ideas. Some elements of Western values are universal values - Democracy, Human Rights (including full equality for women), Rule of Law, Property Rights, Separation of Church and State (at least it used to be), - and should be defended as such unequivocally vs any claims of Islam, "moderate" or otherwise. ron thompson Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
