Forget about ISIS

Reader comment on item: ISIS' Imminent Demise

Submitted by Fran├žois Gravel (Canada), Dec 8, 2015 at 07:14

The main inspirers, exporters and financiers of jihad aren't ISIS but Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Iran, Pakistan (as Tashfeen Malik's case clearly shows), and increasingly Turkey. As long as those countries don't renounce their radical Islamist ideology, the only way the West can prevent new outbursts of Sudden Jihad Syndrome would be to obliterate Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Iran, Pakistan and Turkey. We all know that's not going to happen.

Daniel Pipes replies:

My topic is not jihad but ISIS. Jihad is, I agree, a much larger and more difficult topic.
