Reader comment on item: ISIS' Imminent Demise

Submitted by Haim Modiano (Israel), Dec 6, 2015 at 09:31

Radical Sunnis are now all over the world, and seem to be able to recruit new loyalists everywhere. If you kill their leaders and fighters, will there not be even more Muslims waiting for their turn? Don't forget that Obama "had al-Qaeda on the run," and now ISIS makes them look like angels!

If we fight ISIS in Syria/Iraq, can they not retreat and establish their base elsewhere, just like Arafat's PLO did when he was kicked out of Jordan, only to come back stronger years later?

I am saying that a militia of 50,000 cannot stand up to the combined armed forces arrayed against it.
