First off, you are thinking in a very elementary leveled playing field. The Aga Khan thinks in a deeper more complex field. His conceptual explanations flew right over your head. The first thing you should do is not remark that the Aga Khan "insulted" the Pope's comment, because that is outright propaganda. ...

He totally didn't make a single insult nor did he make nor phrase a single comment on the matter aside from saying the Islamic world was upset at the comment. Next, defending Islam is the one thing that he is meant to do as a spiritual leader of Islam and being the direct blood descendent of the religion. But nowhere in his statements did he condone violence. As you are too stubborn ... to see, the fights by these Muslim people is a fight for political, economical, and other extensive agendas where the faith is not in that category. Propaganda can fool anyone, it fooled me once, then I found out the truth about many things. And now I am enlightened.

As a Muslim convert, I would have to say that the Aga Khan is the best man this world has to offer ...
