Silence of Moderate Muslims

I have seen many people asking on this website about silence of moderate Muslims. Dr Lamm mentioned that he spoke against Kahane and even demonstrated against him. Islam is an intolerant and a violent religion, and so are it's followers. It calls for the death of any Muslim who doubts his religion or criticizes it. Prophet Mohamed himself had his vocal critics and other apostates assasinated. Islamists may tolerate non Muslim critics, but they are brutal on Muslim critics. The world has seen what happened to Rushdie, Taslima, Khalifa, Younus Shaikh and many others. I am an apostate, but do not even disclose my views to my friends, let alone going vocal against Islam publicly. Internet is my only means of expression.
