MUSLIMS HAVE TO GET MUSLIMS FOR MARRIAGE

i have a query that if I, muslim, have to get marriage with my spouse to be a real muslim. However, my the other party pretends to be part of our muslim believer. Once the muslim discovers his partner is a non-muslim, should they divorce then?
