Desecration of Koran???

Reader comment on item: "Rushdie Rules" Reach Florida
in response to reader comment: Response to Rushdie Rules column

While I do NOT favor burning Korans, I'm wondering what the hoopla was all about. Every time there is a suicide bombing or a beheading in the name of Islam it is tantamount to burning 1000 Korans!! Over the past decade there has been no single entity that threatens the sacredness of the Koran more than the insane Muslim fundamentalist. It is a mystery why opinion leaders in the West (from President to 24hr media) do not point out this fact on a regular basis - to counter claims of politicized victimhood emanating from the Islamic sector of the globe.
