Obama - Muslim, Christian, or something else?Reader comment on item: Sheikh Obama and His Two Wars Submitted by Edward Tandy (United States), Dec 28, 2009 at 20:04 Mr Obama claims to be a Christian. Many people refer to him as a Christian. In order to fit into the category of being a Christian, one must believe, uphold and live by the basic truths of the Bible, the book that explains what it is to be a Christian. Similarly, if one claims to be a Democrat but holds views that are clearly Republican, something isn't quite right; or, if one claims to be a baseball fan but seldom watches a game, doesn't know players or stats, something doesn't add up. Mr Obama's beliefs do not line up with the teachings of the Bible. Therefore, he cannot rightly call himself a Christian. I believe he refers to himself as Christian by default, meaning he's not Catholic, Mormon, Hindu, Jew, etc. (Personally, I believe his actions, rarely covered by main stream media strongly indicate a much closer tie to Islam than Christianity.) So, America, take note of what Mr. Obama claims to be and what his actions prove him to be. So far, his campaign rhetoric about an open and transparent White House has not materialized. Stay tuned for further developments to see if in fact he starts to keep his campaign pledge. I, for one won't be holding my breath.
