Bush when he diverted troops from Afganistan, where the real terrorists were, to Iraq which had no terrorists at that time. The Right were all applauding this strategy that allowed the terrorists to spread their tentacles throughout the middle east and beyond. The argument was made, invading Iraq and toppling the baathists would be good for Israel and the west.
