Let me extend my comments. The Naveed Haq conviction DID get news coverage and it was covered by AP. That being said, it did NOT make national headlines even though the conviction came soon after the Ft. Hood massacres.

You COULD have found out about this conviction without following Dr. Pipes' web site. That being said, it would have been something akin to a "footnote" in the mainstream news media.

I think you share my opinion that there is something very wrong with the American national news media that a story like this doesn't get national news coverage. I also think there is something very right about the fact that Dr. Pipes brought this story to our attention.

We can talk about "soldiers of Islam" some other time. What bothers me is that the American national news media placed such little importance on this story even though it came on the heels of the Ft. Hood Massacre.
