3000 carsReader comment on item: Dubai's Dramatic Drop Submitted by Peter Norgaard (United Arab Emirates), Aug 26, 2009 at 07:03 The inaccuracies of some of these copy-cat articles that have been doing the rounds in so-called serious publications have been well-documented, but there is one obvious and basic question that has not been addressed - if 3000 cars were abandoned at Dubai airport (allegedly over the 2008-2009 holiday season), where were they all parked? I dont think there are even that many parking bays there if you included the entire airport. Surely someone would have taken some photos of all these cars..? No, the truth is that this is a hear-say story that has just been copied uncritically ...
