Hello Anne- Marie,

I don't agree with you that Dubai is adopting the islamic model when it comes to politics, economy nor even the social standard. though the locals in Dubai are Muslims but the over all movement of he state is not islamic. for example if you start linking the second class treatment of the expat in dubai to islam, i would totally disagree with you as the islamic state model will enforce that every one should live equally expat / locals / men / women / black and white and we can see example from the prophet mohmmed (peace be up on him) on how he manage to create an equal opportunity enviroment in a place where it had the biggest discrimination existance at that time, so he brought slaves and gave them a high rank in the authority and made his cousin marry one, moreover it is mentioned in the Quran that all human are equal.

So that prove the opposite to your statement when u say islam is racist, the fact is islam is the first ideolgy that fought racisim.
