The least American women (and men) could do is to acknowledge the degradation imposed on women in Saudi Arabia, Iran and elsewhere, and provide moral support for their aspirations

I also think that in these societies Muslim men are shooting themselves in the foot by holding back their women. They are oppressing one half of the population, they are not using the tremendous contributions women could make to the health and education of their children and how this could raise the standard of living for all

How blinding the desire for power and control can be!
