Biblical Christianity Necessary to Eliminate Confusion About Jesus Christ and ReligionsReader comment on item: The Middle Eastern Cold War Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jun 23, 2009 at 19:44 If we suppose that Christianity in the guise of the religious practices done in the name of Jesus Christ, but without His Spirit, as a cause for confusion, then there may be agreement with true believers about who founded true Christianity versus false Christianity. In the Scriptural realm of things, however, Jesus Christ founded His Church on the body of believers that have been obedient in faith and were called Christians (the Greek form of the word now Anglicized as Christian from the Antioch congregation in what is now Turkey). In the following years, decades, centuries, that term became corrupted by the entrance of vain and demonic philosophies, turning the pure WORD of the LORD into a compilation of fables and misrepresentations of what Christianity was really all about, and that is what Islam used to assimilate with agnostic Judaism into reasons why Muslims (and others) think what they do about Christianity. So then, instead of Christianity being about faith in Jesus Christ to save an individual's soul, it became a 'religion' as a substitute that could never allow anyone to go to heaven. Worse, it became a tool for humans to oppress others into submission, and that is what many (including Muslims) will tell everyone is wrong about Christianity. So to differentiate between the Christianity as the Church that Jesus Christ started during His earthly ministry and the Christianity as perverted by an unbelieving group of religionists is an appropriate thing to do. Yet, in so discerning, one must understand that there is still rebellion in the mind of anyone who, after making such a distinction, will continue to dismiss the personal need to accept Jesus Christ as Savior for their sins. It is that rebellion an individual must overcome by prayer in faith to accept Jesus Christ as Savior in order to overcome the confusion. Only in His Holy WORD, the Holy Bible, is there the Truth necessary to make that distinction.
