Israel-Turkey alliance was sold as geopoltical fruit of the Oslo Accords

I recall that during the 1990s Oslo heydays, the alliance with Turkey was considered one of the top geopolitical gains resulting from the agreement with the Palestinians and was marketed this way to a divided Israeli public.
