Support for Israel in India

There is great support and admiration for Israel in India cutting across party affiliations. But the BJPs claim as the sole Israel supporter is not credible. They do not have the necessary democratic credentials to be acceptable in the international community. They show great intolerance to other communities and tend to take the law into their hands (Remeber Kandhamal and Mangalore), often on fictitious charge. It is a great calamity for a great religion like Hinduism to be associated with the boorish obscurantist BJP and its feeder organisations. If somebody expects the BJP to educate the public on the evils of radical Islam or face it squarely, he is living in a fools paradise. The current crop of fanatics dominating the BJP is hardly any improvement on the Islamists.
