I am a loyal reader and find your analyses penetrating and on-target. However, the full quote of Ibrahim Cooper in the original NY Times article was: ""I'd be surprised if there's a mosque in the country that hasn't come under scrutiny these days. It becomes the whole Kevin Bacon game — no Muslim is more than six degrees away from terrorism." Although I find Mr. Cooper to be offensive in most of his remarks and actions, in this case I think he was saying that the U.S. government is linking all Muslims to terrorism by 6 degrees. He does not appear to have been making a blanket statement that no Muslim is more than 6 degrees away from terrorism.
