Mr. Pipes has an extremely good and sharp perception of what is unfolding in the ME. The State of Israel is and will always be the Jewish state. No one is going anywhere, this is their home. That cannot necessarily be said for the 3.5 million so-called Palestinians. So called because there never was an autonomous state called Palestine, ipso facto the Palestinian people do not exist apart from their Arab brethren. If you want a Palestinian state there already exists one, it is called Jordan, most Jordanians are Palestinians, yet the ruling clique are not. King Hussain is a Hashemite from Saudi Arabia, placed there by the British early last century. Want the facts, turn to the history books, not the media.

King Hussain knows how to deal with delinquent citizens look at Black September (not 9/11) but an event back in the '70's when the politicized 'Palestinians' in Jordan got a little uppity.

Israel and Jews prior to the advent of the present state have always made efforts to live in harmony with the surrounding arabs. It's only their reluctance to return the gesture that has lead to their current woeful existance. Don't blame Israel, don't blame the US, blame the Palestinian leadership, other Arab nations for putting them up to it and the EU states and the UN for supporting them financially with their continued intifada and terrorism.

And by the way, stopping the money today won't immediately cure the problem. The education system is so permeated with the teaching of hatred from kindergarden and up, that a whole generation has been infected. It will take a lot to turn this around and the UN and the EU has a lot to answer for.
