Question re ArafatReader comment on item: Anti-Israel Terror Backfires Submitted by Nogah Bethlahmy (United States), Apr 20, 2004 at 17:42 Dear Dan,Now that Yassin and Rantisi have been eliminated, I would appreciate your views whether strategically Israel should do the same with Arafat. He is, of course a "sitting target" who could easily be destroyed. I don't remember your addressing this question before. Thank you. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: I do not think that eliminating Arafat will do much to improve things. That will require a thorough-going change of heart among the Palestinian population.Comment on this item
