Perhaps - hopefully - the Iraqi "insurgents," "fighters," "jihadists," or whatever they like to flatter themselves as being, will heed the lesson taught by the Israelis and come to a rational conclusion regarding the American/Allied presence and grow up enough to come to the rational understanding that playing "cowboy" to American "Indians" is getting them nowhere fast. If their pride - such as it is - is injured because they didn't have the intestinal fortitude to overthrown Saddam Hussain themselves, perhaps they can learn that, however their liberation was achieved, they would do well to try to enter the 21st century with dignity instead of imitating the profoundly self-destructive manner followed so foolishly by the Palestinians. Unfortunately, though, it is more than likely that this lesson will be a hard one to learn, or to swallow, and it is more than likely that much more blood will be shed before the dust settles.
