selective sympathy

Reader comment on item: Israel and Clear Victory
in response to reader comment: ISLAM AND JIHAD

Quite apart from the fiction in the rest of his statements , Mr. Abdelrahman writes

"...Perhaps you have to reconsider your facts about Islam and muslims... Perhaps you should look at the civilians in Gaza .. Innocent children and women are killed and you still say that muslims are the killers.. Have you seen the pictures or the videos of the victims of Gaza...Or you just watched what your media want you to see? Does Israel really defend itself by killing these civilians? Is Israel achieving its goals?"

Now, let's transpose a few words here, so that it becomes

"...Perhaps you have to reconsider your facts about Islam and muslims... Perhaps you should look at the civilians in DARFUR .. Innocent children and women are killed and you still say that muslims are the killers.. Have you seen the pictures or the videos of the victims of DARFUR...Or you just watched what your media want you to see? Does SUDEAN really defend itself by killing these civilians? Is SUDAN achieving its goals?"

The minimum number of people killed is put at 200,000

Other estimates are double that. This is MUSLIM vs MUSLIM.

Of the 1,000 people estimated to have been killed in Gaza - most of those have been legitimate targets according to international rules of military engagement. The fact that innocent women and children have been killed no one can deny is deeply regrettable.

The point is - 200,000 is 200 times more than the total number killed in Gaza. Where is the Muslim outrage against that?? And that is Muslim vs Muslim.

Your sympathy is very selective sir. It's a pity you can't expand it to include Muslims in conflicts other than those which can be used to score political points against the Jews, USA and the rest of the tribes of 'Satan' whose countries hordes of Muslims deliberately set out to live in.

The silence from the Islamic world on Muslim on Muslim violence in Darfur speaks heaps on just how much compassion they have for the rest if us.
