Well, Tirdad, you delivered such a litany of jumbled assertions that I hardly no where to begin. Let me begin by saying that I have never described Iran as being a "small country" and I doubt that Obama has either. It is a rather large and very significant nation in the middle east region and cannot be ignored. Whether it be North Korea, Iran, or any other nation it is always best to pursue a diplomatic course of action before rattling the sabres and threatening military incursion. And I must contest your belief that Ronald Reagan's election frightened the Ayatolluh Khomeini. Elderly religious fanatics are not really frightened by anything and I doubt that anything in the world was capable of frightening Khomeini. I think that Khomeini detested President Carter and wished to embarrass him; also he probably felt that after 444 days of holding hostages he had pretty much already made is point and might as well release them.
Yes, John McCain's service to his nation was very heroic and honorable, but I reiterate my prior assertion that being incarcerated in a POW camp does not provide any training applicable to being president and running the country. If it did then every former POW would automatically make a great presidential candidate, and no one subscribes to that theory. In any case, this is America and you are free to vote for whomever you choose, so let's all hope for the best no matter who wins the upcoming election. In my own case, I'm voting for the man whose vision of the future has impressed me the most, and that will be Barak Obama.
