islamist would say bagels are muslim, like Jerusalem.

Many times the islamists have made claims (false claims) to Jerusalem, the Wailling Wall , all of Israel and at time the entire world is said to belong to allah and the islamists.

So to extend that to a food product is easy. Even if the food is clearly Jewish.
